DAY 1 ARRIVE IN AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND

Arrive at Auckland and transfer to your hotel. Sparkling waters catch the eye and beckon from almost every point in Auckland, New Zealand’s largest city. Set amongst volcanic islands and a multitude of harbours, it’s easy to see why Auckland is called the ‘City of Sails’. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in Auckland, a multicultural and cosmopolitan city. Overnight in Auckland hotel.

DAY 2 AUCKLAND/ AIR/ QUEENSTOWN

This morning enjoy a half day Auckland City sightseeing tour.

See Harbour Bridge, Waterfront, Mission Bay, Tamaki Drive, Savage Points, Parnell Rose Park and Village, Domain Parks and Gardens, City Centre and Victoria Park. Later in the day, board a flight to Queenstown, the “Adventure Capital of the World”. Arrive Queenstown. Overnight stay in Queenstown hotel.

DAY 3 QUEENSTOWN

Today’s sightseeing tour includes Queenstown highlights such as: Arrowtown, view bungy jumping, appreciate the beauty of the Lake Wakatipu. A blissful way to appreciate the magnificent alpine scenery, is by cruise across Lake Wakatipu on a restored steam ship (Optional). Overnight in Queenstown hotel.

DAY 4 QUEENSTOWN/ CRUISE TO MILFORD SOUND/ QUEENSTOWN

This morning take an unforgettable journey into the heart of Milford Sound, New Zealand’s most famous tourist destination. Leaving Queenstown, travel in comfort through rugged mountain terrain past Te Anau, Mirror Lakes, Homer Tunnel and the Chasm. This afternoon, board a spectacular Milford Sound Cruise. Set off to explore the region that Rudyard Kipling called the Eighth Wonder of the World. Along the way your captain will provide lively and informative commentary. After your cruise, return to Queenstown hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 5 QUEENSTOWN / via WANAKA TO FRANZ JOSEF

Start the day with travel from Queenstown to magnificent Franz Josef via beautiful Wanaka. The hospitable town of Franz Josef serves the glacier of the same name, a spectacular World Heritage Area. Take a short walk to the lookout point for a rewarding view of this awesome river of ice. Optional helicopter ride and landing on glacier. Overnight in Franz Josef hotel.

DAY 6 FRANZ JOSEF/ via GREYMOUTH TO CHRISTCHURCH

Today, depart from Franz Josef to Greymouth for your Tranzalpine Express Train to Christchurch. Climb aboard one of the world’s most famous train journeys, between Greymouth and Christchurch. Cross the fertile farmlands of the Canterbury Plains, and enjoy thrilling vistas over deep gorges as you travel alongside the ice-fed Waimakariri River. Traverse the mighty Southern Alps, where spectacular views of the chiselled alpine landscape will take your breath away at every turn. Arrive Christchurch and rest of the day at hotel.

DAY 7 CHRISTCHURCH/ AIR/ TO WELLINGTON

After breakfast proceed for Christchurch city sightseeing- Canterbury University, Riccarton House and Riccarton Bush, Mona Vale, Hagley Park, Antigua Boat Sheds, Botanical Gardens, Upper Worcester Boulevard, Victoria Clock Tower. Later transfer to the Christchurch airport for domestic flight to Wellington. Arrive Wellington and transfer to hotel for overnight.

DAY 8 WELLINGTON

Wellington, was recently named “the coolest little capital in the world”. Nestled between a sparkling harbour and rolling green hills, New Zealand’s capital city is renowned for its arts, heritage, culture and native beauty. Wellington city sightseeing highlights are: Mt Victoria, Botanic Gardens, Te Papa Museum, Parliament Buildings, Oriental Parade, and Lambton Quay. During your visit get introduced to the cosmopolitan city of Wellington. Overnight at Wellington hotel.

DAY 9 WELLINGTON / via TAUPO / to ROTORUA

This morning, depart Wellington and travel through scenic Taupo, home to beautiful Lake Taupo which is actually a huge volcano with a fiery history. Continue to reach Rotorua. Overnight at hotel in Rotorua.

DAY 10 ROTORUA

Today start Rotorua sightseeing visit. Discover three iconic Rotorua visitor attractions on a morning sightseeing tour. Experience Māori culture at Te Puia with a traditional welcome and cultural performance, then take a tour through a thermal valley full of forceful geysers and bubbling mud pools. Explore Rainbow Springs Nature Park, where you can get up close to all kinds of native flora and fauna, including the famous kiwi, a flightless native bird. Then see New Zealand’s agricultural industry in action at the Agrodome, a working farm where you can view a sheep shearing display and sheep dog trials.

This evening, enjoy watching a traditional HANGI DINNER been made which is where traditionally Māori people cooked in a pit under the ground in ovens called ‘Hangi’. Overnight at hotel in Rotorua.

DAY 11 ROTORUA/ WAITOMO GLOW WORM CAVES/ AUCKLAND

Enjoy a scenic tour from Rotorua to Auckland, including a guided tour of the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Leaving the geothermal wonderland of Rotorua in the morning, we travel through lush farmland into the King Country region. After arriving in the small town of Waitomo, you’ll be taken on a guided tour through the world famous Glowworm Caves. After your Glowworm Caves tour you’ll have leisure time at the Waitomo visitor complex. Enjoy the stunning views and learn more about the region in the discovery centre. We journey on through the beautiful Waikato region, the dairy farming capital of New Zealand, and northward to Auckland. Arrive Auckland and overnight at hotel.

DAY 12 DEPART AUCKLAND

Check out of hotel and free till departure to airport for flight home with happy memories!!
